You're right, climate change is a very important issue for our economies, especially when it comes to water, which is an essential resource for the survival of ecosystems and societies.
A 2024 United Nations report on water and climate change highlighted that "Climate change is first and foremost a water crisis. We are feeling the effects through increased flooding, rising sea levels, melting ice caps, forest fires and droughts." These facts are part of our daily lives and remind us of the importance of sustainable water management in strengthening the resilience of societies and ecosystems and reducing carbon emissions.
Everyone has a role to play: individual and family actions are vital.
Participating in these events will be very important for our future.

In this regard, I would advise you to get ready with this technical paper: AI and Climate Action, Opportunities, Risks and Challenges for Developing Countries.

GULE Thandile Tanzile,Eswatini,CFND Absolutely timely and important! The urgency of climate action in Africa cannot be overstated; and water remains at the heart of both the crisis and the solution. Looking forward to the impactful conversations at CCDA and the Africa Climate Summit.
I particularly, strongly vote for us to move from talk to actionable transformation!!!!

Thank you very much for reminding us of the event. And I am sure that the high-level panels during this summit will help to find innovative solutions, approaches, and sustainable perspectives for climate finance in Africa.
Especially since our continent, which is currently one of the most exposed, needs it in order to better mitigate and adapt to the harmful consequences of climate change.
-
I’m confident these events will drive innovative solutions and strengthen Africa’s capacity to mitigate and adapt to the impacts of climate change. Our continent, being among the most vulnerable to climate change, truly needs such collaborative platforms to enhance adaptation and mitigation efforts. I’m looking forward to joining the conversation and learning from the shared expertise and experiences.
-
Looking forward to the summit, with the hope that it will move beyond conversation to concrete implementation, helping to advance the Sustainable Development Goals and Africa’s Agenda 2063.
