Thierno Bocar Diop is an economic development and agriculture expert, with a focus on agricultural policy, farm productivity, sustainability, and climate change adaptation. He was awarded as one of the Best YoungResearchers at the JRSS conference in 2022 for his research on extreme climate events, public policy impacts, and farm household adaptation strategies. He has a Ph.D. in agricultural economics and two master’s degrees from CERDI. He currently works at UNECA, in the Private Sector Development and Finance Division.
