Bio Data:
Ndinelao Iitumba is a Namibian Software Engineer and Researcher passionate about leveraging technology to drive inclusive digital development across Africa. She holds a master’s degree in computer science from the University of Cape Town, where her research focused on HCI, ICT4D and the design of scalable, community centered digital solutions. Currently a PhD candidate at the University of Cape Town, her doctoral research examines community perspectives on data collection and the co-design of applications for local language models and the use of Artificial Intelligence. At UNECA, Ndinelao is investigating how technological innovation can support sustainable economic diversification on the continent. Her academic and professional journey is driven by a deep commitment to empowering communities, advancing digital inclusion, and building resilient local economies through technology and innovation.
