Bio Data:

Musekera John is an economist and PhD candidate in Data Science (Econometrics) at the University of Rwanda’s ACEDS. He holds two master’s degrees in economics and data science and a bachelor's in Monetary Economics. Currently a Fellow at the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA), he also serves as an Economist at the National Bank of Rwanda, specializing in modeling and forecasting.

Previously, he worked at the Rwanda Development Board, focusing on data analysis, market research, and SME support. He is also a visiting lecturer at the University of Rwanda and the University of Kigali. Musekera has earned several international certifications and brings a blend of academic, professional, and teaching experience to the field of economics.

Econometrics – particularly applied econometrics for forecasting and modeling. Macroeconomic Modeling & Forecasting – with practical experience at the National Bank of Rwanda. Data Science in Economics – integrating advanced data analytics and machine learning into economic research. Monetary Economics – grounded in your academic background and work with central banking. Trade and Development Economics – through your work at the Rwanda Development Board. Export Promotion & Market Research – especially for SMEs and national development initiatives. Policy Analysis & Economic Research – combining academic research with real-world application. Teaching & Capacity Building – as a visiting lecturer and trainer in economics and statistics.
