Mariamawit Ayele, PhD, is an assistant professor of Public Management and Policy at Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia. Her area of expertise is public administration, public policy analysis, political economy, development economics, economic policy, and public institutions. She holds a PhD in Economics and Management of Innovation and Sustainability from the University of Ferrara, Italy, and a master’s and a bachelor’s degree in Public Management and Policy and Public Administration and Development Management, respectively, from Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia. Over the last seven years, she has been involved in teaching and conducting research on a variety of subjects relevant toher interests.
