Bio Data:
Sawuya Nakijoba is a Policy, Research, and Project Lead at the Africa Electric Mobility Alliance, where she leads strategic initiatives focused on e-mobility and gender in Uganda. She coordinates multi-stakeholder projects funded by international partners such as the World Bank, UNEP, GIZ, and USAID. Based in Nairobi, Kenya, she has held several roles within the Alliance, including Policy Lead and Uganda Representative, as well as Research Associate. In addition, she serves as the National Coordinator for the Uganda E-Mobility Association (UEMA), where she contributes to national policy development and industry engagement in sustainable transportation. With experience in both research and implementation, Sawuya plays a key role in shaping Africa’s transition to inclusive and sustainable electric mobility.
