Wales Business School. She received her PhD in Actuarial Studies from the University of New South Wales. Her research interests focus on population ageing, risk management, and retirement income products, including annuities and long-term care products. She researches the design of retirement income (pension) products, longevity risk, and risk management strategies. Her research interests include population aging, mortality modeling, pension products, health insurance markets, computational finance, petroleum, and energy economics, and many more. She has a master’s degree in petroleum, Energy Economics, and Finance from the University of Aberdeen in the United Kingdom, as well as a bachelor’s degree in actuarial sciences from the University of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania. Doreen worked as a research fellow at the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa before beginning her doctoral studies.
