Jane Mpapalika is a Senior Researcher at REPOA and a leading young economist in sub-Saharan Africa, recognized by the ICCE. With over a decade of experience, she specializes in macroeconomics, focusing on fiscal policy, economic development, and macro-econometric modeling. She has developed country-specific models for Tanzania, Namibia, and Seychelles, integrating both Keynesian and Neoclassical frameworks. Her research spans gender equality, climate change, governance, and structural transformation. A member of several professional bodies, including AERC and the South African Economic Society, she has earned multiple awards, including the UN-YPP Fellowship and Oxford University Achievement Award.
