Grakolet is an economist specializing in development finance and financial integration. He holds a master’s in economic and quantitative analysis from Université Gaston Berger de Saint-Louis and a PhD in economics from Université Cheikh Anta Diop de Dakar, Senegal. He has published in several renowned international journals and is a member of the Econometric Society. Since 2018, he has been an Assistant Professor at Université Jean Lorougnon Guédé in Daloa, Côte d’Ivoire, where he teaches quantitative analysis. In 2020, he was a visiting researcher at the Faculty of Business Administration, Université Laval, Canada, working on complementarity between mobile money and financial accounts in the WAEMU. From 2021 to 2022, he undertook consultations on women’s economic and financial empowerment with organizations including the Ivorian Network for the Defense of Children’s and Women’s Rights (RIDDEF) and CARE International. He currently works with the AfDB.
