Dr. Gladys Mosomtai is an Earth observation scientist with expertise in landscape ecology, epidemiology, and climate resilience. Her research applies geospatial technologies to challenges in human, animal, and environmental health, with a focus on African food systems and the One Health approach. With over a decade of experience, she has worked at ICIPE, ILRI, and RCMRD, and recently served as an African Research Fellow at the European Space Agency, contributing to remote sensing for sustainable development and disaster risk management. She earned her PhD through the ARPPIS program at ICIPE, integrating species distribution, vector ecology, and livestock movement data to study zoonotic diseases. She also holds a master's degree from ICIPE and has held technical roles in GIS, remote sensing, and data analytics.
