Deborah Umba Ngoyi is a PhD candidate at the University of Mons (Warocqué School of Business and Economics) in Belgium. Her research topic is about digital finance and microfinance, and how they affect economic development and women empowerment. She has a master’s degree in business administration from the Université Protestante au Congo and a specialized master in microfinance from the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB). She has also worked in various sectors, such as microfinance, consulting, and NGOs, as an Economist, Project Manager, Researcher, and Advisor.
