Aynalem Geite Gismie is an Environmental Specialist, Climate Policy Analyst, and Executive Director of LEM – The Environment and Development Society of Ethiopia. With 10 years of experience in sustainable development, climate mitigation, and youth advocacy, she leads national environmental and climate resilience programs. Formerly a UNECA Consultant and Research Fellow, she worked on green economy, carbon markets, and resource management. Aynalem holds a master’s in development studies (Addis Ababa University) and a BSc in Natural Resources Management (University of Gondar). Skilled in project coordination, policy analysis, and community engagement, she’s proficient in MS Office, SPSS, and STATA. She served as National Executive Commissioner of the Ethiopia Scout Association and is active in C40 Women for Climate and East Africa Zonal Youth Forum.
