Ahmed Suliman is a Sudanese expert with over 8 years of experience in international trade, intellectual property, and development finance. He began as an Africa business analyst at Manchester Trade in Washington, DC, supporting AGOA and bilateral relations. He later advised Sudan’s Ministry of International Cooperation on WTO accession and contributed to key research at UNECA, including ARIA 9 and PIDA reports. Currently, he serves as a Capacity Building Officer at the Eastern and Southern African Trade and Development Bank (TDB), leading knowledge dissemination and research efforts. He has worked in DC, Geneva, and Addis Ababa and contributes to platforms like Future Africa Forum and Pod Save Africa. Ahmed holds degrees in economics, business, and international affairs from Penn State, and is fluent in Arabic, English, French, and Amharic.
